Today's share comes from Eric Watkins at Ligonier.
I like how he explains elements of the gospel almost like many fairy tales tell their stories. Not that he says it's fake, but that there is a clear Hero, and that Hero saves the damsel in distress (us, the church).
It's a good reminder that we are called to service in the church.
"Paul does not see our serving one another as an arduous duty driven by guilt, fear, or manipulation. To the contrary, it is the beautiful freedom of the liberty heroically purchased for us by Christ in the gospel that drives our serving one another." - Eric Watkins
He explains in this short article that because of Christ's work, we are now free to serve.
So may we do that with joy and boldness, out of a heart of love; a love for God and for our family in Christ.
